At Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church Primate leads festive Divine Liturgy in Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

On June 19, the Day of Pentecost, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufriy celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

The Liturgy was held in the square in front of the Dormition Cathedral. After the reading of the Holy Gospel, Primate addressed the congregation with the word of the sermon. The Liturgy was followed by celebration of Vespers, during which special prayers were lifted kneeling.

At the end of the service, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy consecrated bouquets of greens and herbs brought by the faithful, and congratulated the numerous flock on the occasion of Pentecost.

On the previous night His Beatitude led the all-night vigil at the Dormition Cathedral of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
