Council in Crete approve first three documents
Over the first three sessions the Council of Orthodox Churches have approved the documents “Mission of the Orthodox Church in Today’s World”, “Orthodox Diaspora”, and “Autonomy and the way to proclaim it”. It is reported by sobor2016.
As it is reported, “Orthodox Diaspora” document is likely to be the first signed document.
Draft documents of the Pan-Orthodox Council were agreed on, approved, and published beforehand; however, in the course of their discussion certain corrections can be introduced thereto. Once the documents have been signed, they will be officially published.
At the press briefing it was informed the Council Secretariat receives a lot of amendments to the texts of the documents. A particular attention hereby is paid to their translation in order to avoid inaccuracies in wordings.
A text on fasting will be the next point of consideration at the Council.
