All-Ukrainian Cross Procession has confirmed a peaceful choice of Ukraine – Archimandrite Alipiy (Svetlichnyi)

Cross Procession always has to do with a prayer for peace, and a prayer for peace in Ukraine continues in each believer’s house. It was reported during the program “The right to voice” by the UOC priest, church publicist, Archimandrite Alipiy (Svetlichnyi).

Father Alipiy emphasized that the Cross Procession continues – in a sense that a prayer for Ukraine upon blessing of Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine Onuphry continues in each believer’s house.

In 2014, when the elections of the President of Ukraine were held, the whole country voted for peace. “We just confirmed this choice. At the same time it was namely praying. There existed no specific political rationale. Neither the clergy nor the laymen have put forward any political slogans or raised political claims as a reason of this Cross Procession,” said the priest.
