Abortions increase breast cancer risk – scientists

Making abortions dramatically heightens the risk of the breast cancer disease – this is what doctor, expert in pharmacological research specialist Aleksey Fokin states. It is reported by Interfax.

"One abortion increases the breast cancer risk by 44%, two or three – by 76% and 89% respectively,” said the physician at VII international festival of social technologies for family values protection “For Life” in Moscow, referring to the studies made by Chinese scientists. 

According to him, the relation between abortions and breast cancer is proven by the research in India, according to which “the disease risk increases 6,26 times among the women who have abortions in their anamnesis.”

Over 500 people took part in the event, representatives of 168 profile NGOs, church and state organizations from more than 50 regions of Russia, as well as Abkhazia, Belarus Republic, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Serbia.
