St. Michael's Church of UOC in Avdeevka suffered from shelling

August 18, 9:40 am, the town of Avdeevka was exposed to mortar fire, resulting in a mortar shell damaging the part of the St. Michael's Church, reports Donpress.

According to law enforcers, the enemy fire hit a residential area in the city, including St. Michael's Church located in Krasnaya Street. Luckily, there were no casualties. The mine shrapnel damaged the church bells.

An investigative operational group of the Avdeevka police department is working on the site.

Records on this fact are made in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations under article 258 "Act of terrorism" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
