On Independence Day an action “Youth FOR Peace” will be held in Mukachevo diocese

On the Independence Day on August 24 a bishopric missionary Divine Liturgy will take place within the diocesan project “Youth FOR Peace”. It is reported by the eparchy’s site.

During the divine service there are planned four liturgic pauses at which the priests will give comments on the structure and content of the divine service, while a representative of the Pilgrim Department of the eparchy will use a sign language for representatives of Transcarpathian regional organization UTOG.

After the festive service near the Memorial Cross on Kicherka mountain, not far from Presentation of the Blessed Virgin nunnery, there will be held a moleben service for the peace in Ukraine.

According to the eparchy’s site, the “purpose of youth gathering is spiritual enrichment of souls, prayer for the peace in Ukraine, participation in Sacraments, talks with priests and ascent to the Memorial Cross where the moleben service for the peace on our Ukrainian land will be held.”

The action is carried out upon an initiative of the Missionary, Youth and Pilgrim Departments of the diocese, with the support of Kushnitsa Presentation of the Blessed Virgin nunnery, Uzhgorod Holy Resurrection monastery, and Zarichev nunnery in the honor of Mary Magdalena Equal-to-the-Apostles  in the Holy Trinity church in Kushnitsa village, with participation of the diocese’s youth brotherhoods and representatives of Transcarpathian Regional Organization UTOG.

It will be reminded, the Memorial Cross on Kicherka mountain was sanctified on 11 May 2015.
