Vatican concerned about anti-church bills, – UOC representative

The Vatican summoned the Ukrainian ambassador to the Holy See in connection with the possibility of adopting bills № 4128 and № 4511, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC wrote on his Facebook page.

"For the attention of people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The Vatican is concerned about the possibility of adopting bills 4128 and 4511. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Holy See was summoned. The Vatican fully agrees with the position expressed by the Roman Catholic Bishop Stanislav Shirokoradiuk on this subject," he wrote.

As the UOJ reported, on May 18 around 10,000 faithful from around the country gathered at the walls of the Verkhnova Rada for prayerful standing so that God could reason with MPs not to adopt antichurch bills.
