Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa performs divine service translated into sign language (VIDEO)

His Eminence Agafangel, Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Odessa Church of the Holy Martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth. The divine service was translated into sign language, reports the website of the diocese.

Since 2013, in this temple, with the blessing of Vladyka, divine services have been performed with a sign language translation for people with hearing impairment. Rector of the church, Archpriest Sviatoslav Minaev himself mastered sign language interpretation, which gave him the opportunity to spiritually nurse hundreds of Orthodox Odessa citizens with hearing and speech impairments.

After the service, Vladyka congratulated numerous believers on their patronal feast day, told them about pious life and martyrdom for Christ of Grand Duchess Elizabeth.
