Two new temples to be built in Rovno region instead of the seized ones (PHOTO, VIDEO)
On October 16, the foundation was consecrated and the capsule was laid for a new church in the village of Dmitrovka. To support the believers there came as many as 16 local priests. Together they performed the order of consecration and served a prayer service, so that the Lord would help a small religious community of the UOC finish the work sooner.
Only two years have passed since the believers of the UOC were expelled from the prayed-in church. Since then, they’ve had to pray in the house, which was donated by the local resident. Subsequently, it was decided to take up the construction of a new church by joint efforts. The land plot for building was donated by a fellow villager, but the first funds for the new house of the Lord were gathered by the priest, father George Gladun, who on holidays travels from one temple to another across Rovno region, telling about the needs of his flock.
In the village of Rachin in the Dubno district, the construction of the new church is going to be accomplished at an accelerated pace. The main part of the temple is ready; it remains to install the domes.
Believers of the UOC here were deprived of the church back in 2014, so they went to pray in a small chapel in the cemetery. The construction of the new religious structure was to begin in 2015; however, because of numerous obstacles from the local authorities and assaults of aggressive pseudo patriots, the stone laying was postponed. At first, supporters of the UOC-KP blocked even the allocation of the land plot. When the benefactor was found and donated the land, the schismatics went to pickets to prevent the construction of the church.
By God's will, this spring active work began on the erection of the church in the village of Rachin. The whole community was committed to the cause, but financially the entire Orthodox world contributed to that. By the winter, if the Lord finds proper, the new church will be shining with domes.
