Filaret orders to pray for SLC, Poroshenko, Rada and "their work"

Filaret gave an order to pray for the SLC

In all the churches of the Kiev Patriarchate, they will pray for Patriarch Bartholomew, President Poroshenko, the Verkhovna Rada and "their work". The text of the prayer is published on the website of the Kiev Patriarchate.

The order states that in connection with the adoption and sending to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew church and state appeals with a request to grant the Tomos of autocephaly of the SLC, the following texts will be read:

"For the creation in Ukraine of a single Local Orthodox Church, let us pray to the Lord.

For His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew, for the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada, and for the work begun by them, let us pray to the Lord.

We also pray for the creation in Ukraine of a single Local Orthodox Church."

The order is dated April 20.

Earlier, the social media reported that the USA puts pressure on Patriarch Bartholomew on the question of the SLC in Ukraine, and work is being done with the Patriarch of Constantinople to convince him to support autocephaly, this time at a higher level than two years ago.
