Patriarch Bartholomew awards scandalous “priest” blogger of the UOC KP

Patriarch Bartholomew and Alexander Dediukhin

On November 3, in Istanbul, Patriarch Bartholomew awarded the scandalous "priest" of the UOC KP Alexander Dediukhin, who accompanied Petro Poroshenko on his visit to Phanar.

Dediukhin posted a picture in which the Primate of the Church of Constantinople presents the schismatic with a gift patriarchal cross on his Facebook page.

UOC DECR deputy head Protopriest Nikolai Danilevich commented on the event for the UOJ. According to him, earlier in conversations with representatives of the UOC, Patriarch Bartholomew has emphasized that he personally does not meet and does not accept schismatics.

“The patriarch gave this as an example of the observance of the principles of canonicity and his non-recognition of schismatics,” Fr. Nikolai noted. “The latter were unofficially and privately accepted only by his representatives. Now, we can say that Patriarch Bartholomew already considers the schismatics to be canonical, since he not only officially accepts one of them, albeit as part of the state delegation, but also presents a patriarchal cross.”

"Priest" of the UOC KP Alexander Dediukhin is known for his extraordinary, as for a clergyman, scandalous statements. In particular, that the Holy Fire does not light up on its own – it is lit from the lamp of the Patriarch of Jerusalem on behalf of the NTV channel, that participants of the All-Ukrainian religious procession of the UOC are “Moscow ghouls,” that to forgive the aggressor is “to send 12 grams of love to some vital organ ”, that by prayer of the UOC-KP in St. Petersburg there was a blow up in the metro, that the Maidan is an action of the Holy Spirit.

In addition, Dediukhin called for the legalization of weapons, drugs and prostitution.
