Flashmob participants in support of UOC clerics enter Mirotvorets database

The priests’ data were published on the Mirotvorets (Peacemaker) site

The data of the flashmob participants in support of the UOC clerics, summoned for interrogation to the Security Service of Ukraine, entered into the database of the notorious Mirotvorets website. They are accused of "manipulating socially significant information." They are also accused of being "opponents of the independence of Ukrainian Orthodoxy."

The initiator of the action, head of the Social Department of Rovno eparchy of the UOC, Protopriest Vasiliy Nachev, was the first to appear on the scandalous website, followed by other clergymen who had also supported the initiative.

Besides, the FB Mirotvorets group began to distribute information about the participants of the flashmob, cynically saying that in this way “it would be easier for the SBU to write call-up papers”.

As the UOJ reported, on September 25, the scandalous Mirotvorets website added the Primate of the UOC Church to its database, referring to him as “an agent of influence of the Russian Orthodox Church” and “an opponent of the creation of an independent Local Church in Ukraine. In July 2017, the Office of the National Police of Kiev opened a case against this site, which publishes contact details of the so-called “traitors to the motherland”, including the clergymen of the UOC, who are then threatened.

In addition, the Peacemaker site being condemned for the illegal publication of personal data of citizens of Ukraine and foreigners was highly appreciated by the Kiev Patriarchate.

On November 19, 2018, the German authorities demanded the Ukrainian government to close the Mirotvorets website.
