8.5 mln. Ukrainians view live TV broadcast of Christmas services of UOC

The Divine Liturgy on January 7 was led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine

Millions of TV-viewers watched live broadcasting of the ceremonial services at the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on the Inter TV channel on Christmas Eve and on the feast of the Nativity of Christ, according to the UOC Information and Education Department.

The festive All-Night Vigil on January 6 and the Divine Liturgy on January 7 was led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine.

On the Christmas Day, "Inter" showed the documentary "From Nativity to Baptism" and the festive programme of "The Word of the Primate", as well as the Nativity greetings of His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufry.

Earlier, at Christmas 2018, live broadcast of the solemn Divine services on "Inter" was viewed by 6.2 million people.

Also, the broadcast of the Nativity services was traditionally conducted by the "Glas" TV channel.

As reported by the UOJ, on the Feast of the Nativity of Christ the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine, addressed the Ukrainians with the sermon and greetings. He wished all Ukrainians health, happiness, and God's blessing.
