On July 25, 2019, at 13:00, participants in the traditional international cross procession, which is going from Poland through the Republic of Belarus to Pochaev, crossed the Ukrainian border, reports Svetlana Kovalchuk on her Facebook page.

The international religious procession started from Hajnówka (Poland) on July 20 and will end in Pochaev on August 3. Traditionally, believers from Belarus and Ukraine join the procession from Poland.

The believers are to come to Pochaev on the Day of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God.

With the blessing of Metropolitan Vladimir of Vladimir-Volynsky and Kovel, the international cross procession will cross the territory of the Vladimir-Volyn Eparchy, everyone is welcomed to participate in it. Pilgrims are asked to take along medicines, personal hygiene items, overnight items, change of clothes, and comfortable walking shoes.

You may follow the itinerary of the cross procession on the territory of the Vladimir-Volyn Eparchy here.

We recall that on the eve of the feast of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God on August 2, 2019, a traditional religious procession with the wonderworking icon will be held from the Virlia Tract (Savchitsy village), where the estate of Anna Goiskay who kept the icon was located, to the Pochaev Lavra. Every year, the participants walk the road along which the shrine was taken to the Pochaev Monastery 421 years ago.
