On August 22, 2019, a rally in support of Filaret Denisenko and the UOC-KP was held in the square in front of the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery, which houses the residence of the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko, reports “24 Channel”.

The organizer of the event Natalia Miroliub said that “Filaret turned to us and called to support. They must peacefully sit at the negotiating table, bring in people who understand, and find the way and a common vision."

According to the journalists, about 200 people who stood with the picket signs “I am with Filaret”, “Bartholomew, give Ukraine the real Tomos, do not conspire with Putin” took part in the action.

At the same time, according to the “24 Channel” reporters, not all the protestants understood what was happening in Mikhailovskaya Square and what they were rallying against.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Filaret Denisenko called on his flock to protest against the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko.
