On October 15, 2019, in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony of Borispol and Brovary, met with the priests of the Rovno Eparchy, whose churches were taken over by schismatics, reports the hierarch's Facebook page.

The meeting with the rectors of the persecuted communities was held with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine.

The clergymen spoke about the state of affairs in communities that were left without their churches and forced to pray in adapted rooms.

Metropolitan Anthony expressed his gratitude to the rectors for their faithful pastoral service during the time of trials. Vladika noted that God always supports and will support those who serve Him and His Holy Church, despite oppression and persecution.

As reported earlier, in July 2019, Metropolitan Anthony of Borispol and Brovary (Pakanich) had a talk with the priests whose parishes suffered from church raiding.
