On December 14, 2019, the "Bishops' Council" of the OCU held in Kyiv announced the final liquidation of the UOC-KP and the UAOC, reports the spokesperson for the newly formed church structure Eustratiy Zoria on his Facebook page.

“At a meeting of the Bishops’ Council, Metropolitan Epiphany announced the legal liquidation of the religious organizations “Kyiv Patriarchy of the UOC-KP” and “Patriarchy of the UAOC”,” wrote Zoria, attaching a photo of the relevant entries from the Unified State Register.

We recall that earlier the head of the UOC-KP Filaret Denisenko said that the order to destroy the Kyiv Patriarchate came from Constantinople. At the same time, he believes that it is impossible to liquidate the Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, and he will fight for the religious organization under his control "to the end".
