Media: Head of the Church of Cyprus is going to Phanar

The Primate of the Church of Cyprus, Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Nova Justiniana and All Cyprus, has accepted the invitation of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople to visit Phanar, reports the Greek edition Romfea.gr.

Earlier, Patriarch Bartholomew invited the head of the Church of Cyprus to a general liturgy on the day of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, which takes place on March 8 at Phanar.

According to Romfea, Archbishop Chrysostomos accepted the invitation and, accompanied by Metropolitan Nectarios of China, is going to Phanar on March 5, where he is going to stay until March 9.

As reported earlier, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople thanked the head of the Church of Cyprus for being the first to oppose the initiative of Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem to convene the Synaxis of Primates of the Local Churches.
