Anton Korinevich, Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, said that the OCU eparchy is the main Ukrainian island in the Crimea, whose rights should be defended by Ukraine in every possible way, reports the media outlet "Telegraf”.
Participating in the action of solidarity with the Ukrainian Crimea, which was held in Kyiv, the Representative of the President said that he was constantly in touch with OCU "Archbishop" Clement and did his utmost to ensure that his eparchy continued to operate in the Crimea.
"The Crimean eparchy of the OCU is the main Ukrainian island in the Crimea, and the occupant state grossly violates its rights... For our part, like all bodies that work in Ukraine on the Crimea, we are doing everything possible to ensure that the Crimean eparchy of the OCU continues to exist and work in the Crimea," said Anton Korinevich.
As reported earlier, Clement Kushch, the "hierarch" of the new church structure, said during a retreat of the Verkhovna Rada Committee that the OCU is the only "stronghold of Ukraine" that has survived on the territory of the Crimea.
