Archpriest Gennady Yelin, a cleric of the Zaporizhzhia Eparchy of the UOC, recalled on his Telegram channel how Metropolitan Luke was personally involved in the delivery of aid to war-torn Mariupol, for which he received gratitude from President Zelenskyy.

"Video of Metropolitan Luke PERSONALLY accompanying the humanitarian convoy to Mariupol, as well as words of gratitude from the President and Governor of Zaporizhzhia region for our actions. Now they have decided that the best 'gratitude' for good deeds is sanctions," the UOC cleric wrote.

As reported, the clergy of the Zaporizhzhia Eparchy of the UOC supported Metropolitan Luke.
