A parishioner of the Vinnytsia eparchy of the UOC, Vlad Sopun, recorded a video message in which he stated that during the war one mustn't divide the people also by religion, according to the First Cossack YouTube channel.

“First of all, the war was supposed to unite us all, but everyone began to say that the UOC is a provocateur of the war in Ukraine. We are one people, one nation, and our only enemy is Satan! Do not incite hatred, do not divide the people by religion. For when you split the people from within, it is more difficult to defeat the enemy,” he said.

Vlad Sopun added that he was upset by the slander against the UOC and called everyone to prayer.

“I want to call everyone to prayer. Unite in prayer for Ukraine. For all to be one in God. Every evening, every day, read a prayer for peace in Ukraine – let's unite in prayer! Do not post hostile symbols or threats on social media,” he added.

As the UOJ reported earlier, the UOC priest said that someone gave the command to rock the boat inside the country.
