On April 14, 2020, the mayor of Kyiv Vitalii Klitschko announced that the city’s authorities are working out a program to gradually ease the regime of severe restrictions due to the coronavirus, reports the website of the Kyiv City Council.

“The implementation of this plan directly depends on the number of patients after Easter. Our main task is to prevent an outbreak of the disease. And we are doing everything possible to stop the spread of the virus,” the Kyiv mayor emphasized.

According to him, if the number of patients decreases a week after Easter, the authorities of the capital will consider easing restrictive measures. If the number of infected people grows, stricter restrictions may be enforced.

As reported earlier, quarantine measures have been increased in the Kyiv region for Easter holidays.
