The "Do not ban the UOC" petition has collected 25,014 signatures of Ukrainians on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers. Signatures were collected 20 days before the end of voting. After the necessary threshold of 25,000 votes has been overcome, people still continue to sign the petition.
After the collection of signatures, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine must give an official response to it within the time period established by the Law "On Citizens' Appeals".
Recall that the authors of the petition demand that the Ukrainian authorities not ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church because of isolated crimes committed by its representatives.
According to them, attempts to outlaw the UOC will lead to the demoralization of society and may serve the hidden interests of the Russian Federation regarding the separation of Ukrainians in a war.
As reported by the UOJ, clones of the petition "Do not ban the UOC" appeared on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
