On March 22, 2023, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra resumed the work of the Near and Far Caves of the monastery, reports the press service of the UOC.

The entrance to the caves will be open daily until March 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

According to Archimandrite Damian, the caves were opened for visitors after the commission of the Ministry of Culture completed the inspection of the saints’ relics and the arks in which they rest.

"The commission has completed its work. There were representatives of the monastery at each object – the inspection took place in a calm working environment, without manipulation. <...>. Until 16:00, the caves will be open today," said the keeper of the caves.

As reported, the authorities of Ukraine have closed access to the caves with the relics of the Kyiv Caves saints.
