Maxym Ostapenko, the newly appointed acting general director of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve, called Crimea part of the “Russian world” dimension on the air of the One News telethon. Ostapenko stated this when commenting on the actions of the Commission of the Reserve in the Lavra on April 19, 2023.
“We found there (in Building 39 of the Lavra – Ed.), in addition to littering, in addition to violation of the condition of monuments, in addition to violation of fire regulations, numerous traces of the ‘Russian world’ in direct form. These are adverts for the Crimean eparchies and Crimean monasteries, business cards of monks and Church workers from the occupied territories,” Ostapenko said.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the head of the Ministry of Culture, Olexander Tkachenko, appointed Maxym Ostapenko as the new acting General Director of the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra".
