On July 22, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to prolong the adaptive quarantine until August 31. The government meeting, during which this decision was made, was broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“We all see that now this format and approach to quarantine measures is yielding results and allows us to control the incidence rate in Ukraine,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said at the beginning of the meeting.

He stressed that the authorities plan to continue to apply this approach (adaptive quarantine – Ed.) to control the incidence rate and prevent new peaks of the epidemic.

Shmygal also said that the government plans to improve the principles of adaptive quarantine and reduce the burden on hospitals and doctors.

The details of the celebration of the anniversary of the Christianization of Rus in 2020 have become known earlier.  The celebrations of the anniversary of the Baptism of Rus and the 400th anniversary of the revival of the Orthodox church hierarchy in Ukraine will be held in compliance with the quarantine requirements, without the traditional All-Ukrainian Cross procession.
