Largest Islamic centre in Bukovyna to open in Chernivtsi

On August 15, 2020, an Islamic cultural center "Bukovyna", which will be included in the network of Islamic cultural centres of the All-Ukrainian Association "Alraid" will open in Chernivtsi, reports the website risu.ua.
According to the resource, the centre will feature a mosque subordinate to the spiritual administration of Muslims of Ukraine "Ummah", and the celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the centre will be attended by "representatives of the authorities, clergy, delegates of national diasporas and local residents".
Earlier, the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is going to sign a decree in the coming days, according to which Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr will receive the status of state religious holidays.
