Archbishop Victor (Kotsaba) of Khmelnytskyy and Starokostiantyniv has said that the Council in Feofaniya, which was held a year ago, affirmed the UOC as an independent Church.

A video of the statement was published on the Facebook page of the Khmelnytskyy Eparchy of the UOC.

"A year of church life has testified to the correctness of the decision of the Council of the UOC, which was announced a few days ago at the Holy Synod of the UOC. Over the past year, the decisions of the Council have had their reception in the Church. They entered into the life of the Church. The majority of UOC believers have accepted the decisions of the conciliar mind, revealed in the Holy Spirit," said the UOC bishop.

According to him, today the UOC should protect Christian values, stand firmly in the Orthodox faith and be an example of love and forgiveness.

As previously reported, His Beatitude said that UOC Councils testify to the love of God and neighbour.
