In Uman, Hasids broke down protective fences installed on the tomb of Tzaddik Rabbi Nachman to minimize the risk of the coronavirus spreading among pilgrims. The corresponding video was published on the Telegram channel PavlovskyNews on September 10, 2020.
The video shows the pilgrims shaking and demolishing metal structures.
The Rabbi Nachman Foundation, which is the only official party representing the interests of the Hasidim in Ukraine, said that the violators would be sensitized and their actions in no way reflected the movement's attitude to the laws of Ukraine.
As reported, earlier six Hasidim who arrived in Uman for the celebration of Rosh Hashanah were diagnosed with COVID-19.
