Abbot of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra awarded a medal of the NAMS of Ukraine

The abbot of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshhorod and Chernobyl, was awarded a medal of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, reports the Lavra’s press service on September 25, 2020.

The award was presented to the hierarch of the UOC by the President of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine Vitaliy Tsimbaliuk and the Mayor of Uman Alexander Tsebriy.

“The medal and the badge of honour depict St. Agapetus of Pechersk, a voluntary doctor, who was elected by the National Academy of Medical Sciences as its patron,” reports the press service.

Metropolitan Paul thanked for the high award and wished the guests that the Lord would strengthen them in their professional activities.

As the UOJ reported, on September 25, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky presented Metropolitan Feodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod with the Order of Merit, II degree.
