On August 1, the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, met with the head of the National Police of Ukraine, police general of the third rank Ivan Vyhovsky and discussed with him the religious situation in Ukraine, according to the official website of the OCU.

They talked about the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, as a result of which temples are being destroyed in the country, priests and law enforcement officers are dying. The parties also discussed “ensuring order and security during the exercise by citizens of their legal right to change jurisdiction, the overall religious situation in our state, spiritual support for the defenders of Ukraine and the memorial Wall of Memory of the Fallen Defenders of Ukraine, located on the walls of St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery.”

As the UOJ reported, Dumenko sent a letter to the Phanar with a report on the results of the "local council" of the OCU.
