Patriarch Theophilos: We will keep our churches open in Gaza

On November 7, 2023, Patriarch Theophilos emphasized his Christian commitment to keep the Churches open as shelters for all the residents of Gaza, reports orthodoxianewsagency.gr.
During a meeting with Hungary's representative in Ramallah, Ms. Rita Hereneskar, Patriarch Theophilos mentioned that the Jerusalem Church will keep temples open as shelters for all Gaza residents.
He emphasized that the Christian faith in the Cross and the Resurrection of Christ remains unshaken even under the shadow of hostilities and economic hardships.
As earlier reported, the Jerusalem Patriarchate called the strike on the temple in Gaza a war crime.
