Archdeacon Pavel, a monk of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, made a short video showing how the monastery, closed by the authorities from believers, looks today. He posted the video in the group "Lavra Now".

In the footage, he showed national flags hanging on Building 44 taken away by the Reserve. "Today they seize the buildings of Christian sanctuaries under the pretext of patriotism," the Lavra monk said.

He demonstrated the police cars that are "guarding us". From whom exactly, Fr. Pavel did not specify.

Near the Near Caves, the archdeacon showed two chapels. In one of them, monks write down names from notes brought by the faithful into a special memorial notebook. In the other, the Psalter is read incessantly.

"So, all your notes are remembered, the brethren and Lavra novices are praying for all these people," the monk said. He said that the Caves are open until 2 p.m. only for the brethren and staff of the Reserve.

Fr. Pavel showed the building of His Beatitude Onuphry, "where the traitor sits".

"The museum and the Ministry of Culture want to take all this beauty," the monk said, taking panoramic photos of the Lavra, and expressed hope that they will not succeed.

As reported, two students of the KDA took monastic tonsure at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
