President of Lithuania meets with Dumenko and visits Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra

During an official visit to Ukraine, President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda, together with his wife Diana Nausedene, met with the head of the OCU Sergey (Epiphany) Dumenko and visited the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, reports the press service of the President of Lithuania.
During a meeting with the head of the OCU, the President of Lithuania said that he considers Epiphany Dumenko a “spiritual pillar” of the Ukrainian people.
He also added that "two years ago, a united Ukrainian Orthodox Church was created, independent of the Moscow Patriarchate," which "is an expression of the independent Ukrainian spirit".
Nauseda also recalled that Lithuania sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine in connection with the conflict in the Donbass.
The President of Lithuania and his wife also visited the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which, according to the President's website, is "an important place in the history of Lithuania", revealing the common history of Lithuania and Ukraine.
As previously reported, Dumenko met with Volker and thanked the United States for its support.
