On 24 February 2024, the anniversary of the invasion of the Russian Federation, the head of the OCU Serhiy Dumenko held a "prayer service for victory" at the Refectory Church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. In addition to Dumenko and his "clergy", the event was attended by the head of the Army Chaplaincy Service, Larysa Polianska, as well as the leadership and cadets of the Military Institute of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, reports the OCU website.

The text does not say whether it was closed but there were no ordinary parishioners in the photos.

It is reported that Dumenko told the present about the war with the Russian Federation, which, according to him, has been going on for several centuries.

Earlier, the Reserve demanded that the Lavra hand over the relics of the Caves saints to have them listed.
