On the morning of March 12, 2024, raiders of the OCU began to storm the church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the UOC in the city of Kamin-Kashyrsky, Volyn region. They cut off the locks and removed the gates at the entrance to the church, but believers hinder them from approaching the church itself. This was reported by UOJ from the scene.

The possible seizure of the church became known the night before. Therefore, around 5 a.m., 200 parishioners gathered to defend their shrine.

Supporters of the OCU, along with clerics from Dumenko structure, began to gather by 9 a.m. and immediately started storming the gates. They managed to break them down, but believers did not allow them to go further onto the territory.

Police are present at the scene. Initially, they did not intervene, but later, as eyewitnesses reported, attempted to protect the believers.

Earlier, supporters of the OCU conducted an illegal re-registration of the church. On January 23, 2023, "OCU supporters" already planned to seize the shrine from Orthodox Christians. Hundreds of parishioners of the church then came out to defend it.

As reported by UOJ, the community in Kamin-Kashyrsky was transferred to the OCU while the rector was at the front.
