Over 500 parishioners from two churches in Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, have confirmed their desire to remain loyal to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the leadership of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry by signing a resolution, as reported by a UOJ correspondent.

On March 16, 2024, believers gathered in the churches dedicated to the Ascension of the Lord and the icon of our Lady 'Seeking of the Lost' in Vyshneve unanimously voted in favor of this decision. Those who could not attend the meeting left their signatures the following day, Sunday, after the Divine Liturgy.

In total, more than 500 parishioners confirmed their loyalty to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church across the two churches.

As reported by the UOJ, while Orthodox community members were praying in the church, supporters of the OCU were collecting signatures on behalf of the community to transfer the two churches to Dumenko's structure near the city council. OCU activists managed to collect 50 signatures from city residents. Due to the holding of this illegal meeting, believers fear the forcible seizure of their shrines. However, UOC parishioners intend to defend their churches by all lawful means.
