On May 1, 2024, a Swiss weekly magazine published an interview with the head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, UOC lawyer Robert Amsterdam, on its website. As the human rights defender stated on his X page, he informed the Swiss about the situation with the persecution of the UOC in Ukraine.

"I recently spoke with the Swiss weekly Weltwoche about the Ukrainian government's persecution of the UOC. We discussed how Rada members backing Bill 8371 have openly spoke of 'religious cleansing', how it is time for Europe to stop giving Kyiv a free pass on documented violations of religious freedom.," wrote Amsterdam.

Die Weltwoche (German for "World Week") is a Swiss weekly magazine based in Zurich. Founded in 1933, it has a circulation of about 50,000 copies.

As the UOJ reported, Robert Amsterdam commented on Vladimir Zelensky's post on his X page that the time of war with Russia is also a time that unites, a time when it is so important to remain human, care for each other, and protect life. He called on the President of Ukraine to halt Bill 8371 and the arrest of innocent UOC priests.
