On May 25, 2024, during the celebration of the "World Day for the Protection of Children" organized by the Pope at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, a transvestite performed.

Carmin De Rosa, a man from Salerno, introduced himself as an artist who quickly changes costumes, appearing as a woman and wearing various female dresses, while children sat in a circle around him.

After Italian believers expressed outrage, De Rosa stated that his job was "to bring smiles to children and not only" and that he was success.

He explained that he was officially invited to the event: "Reading the comments, I would like to point out that I was invited to this event because of the show I perform on stage."

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Pope Francis apologized for his remarks about "pederasts", noting that here is a place for everyone in the Church.
