Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak spoke about his meeting in the Vatican with Pope Francis. "It was an important conversation during which I informed His Holiness about the philosophy of the President's Peace Formula," Yermak wrote on social media on June 8.

He reported that he had informed the pontiff about the preparation for the Global Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland, as well as the return of Ukrainian children forcibly taken out of the country.

According to him, Pope Francis expressed his support for Ukraine, and Yermak, in response, thanked the head of the RCC.

"Mr. Andriy, why don't you tell the pontiff about how clergy are tossed into prisons in Ukraine and believers' rights are persecuted? About how Ukraine has been turned into a country where there is no freedom of faith?" commented journalist Diana Panchenko on Yermak's post.

As reported previously, a representative of the Vatican promised to help Yermak return deported children.
