On September 4, a hearing on the Upper Lavra case took place at the Northern Appellate Commercial Court in Kyiv, during which complaints from third parties—monks involved in the case—were considered. This was reported by the Save-Lavra Telegram channel.
During the session, the monastery's lawyers presented arguments regarding the possibility of the monastery’s brotherhood participating in the case.
While the court proceedings were ongoing, believers prayed outside the courthouse.
"The Northern Appellate Court closed the appellate proceedings regarding the involvement of third parties who had not participated in the case. The next court hearing is scheduled for September 11 at 3:00 PM," the report stated.
As previously reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ), another court hearing regarding the Lower Lavra is set to take place in Kyiv on September 5.
