Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople said at St. Michael's Cathedral of the OCU that decades from now, Ukrainians will glorify the name and example of Epiphany Dumenko.

He noted that he arrived in Ukraine "to live with you (Epiphany – Ed.) a miracle especially worthy of praise – the miracle of the resurrection of the struggle for the healing of division", and also "to see with my own eyes the achievements of many of your untold efforts."

“Your work will be hard, but in many decades your descendants will glorify your name and your example. We have come to know you as a man of action, as a God-fearing man, with unshakable faith in Christ, love for the Church and your homeland," said the Phanar head.

As reported, Patriarch Bartholomew called Epiphany an effective leader who is trusted in the Phanar.
