On October 2, the Khust Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) published a message calling for prayers for another UOC priest, Archpriest Vasyl Rosokha. As his wife Maryna reported on her Facebook page, the clergyman was mobilized the day before.
“After staying at the Tiachiv Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC), yesterday he was sent to a training center in Rivne. I ask for prayers for Archpriest Vasily Rosokha,” she wrote.
As reported by the UOJ, recruitment centers in Zakarpattia are compiling lists of UOC priests for mobilization.
On September 22, after the Divine Liturgy, representatives of the TRC detained two UOC priests from Zakarpattia. After hundreds of parishioners came to the recruitment center, the clergymen were released. Earlier, the Uzhhorod TRC had mobilized the abbot of a monastery in Zakarpattia.
