Metropolitan Varsonofy consecrated the temple in vlg. Signal
On October 2, Metropolitan Varsonofy of Vinnytsia and Bar consecrated a new church in honor of the Prophet of God Elijah in the village of Signal, Vinnytsia region, reports the press service of the Vinnytsia Eparchy.
Metropolitan Varsonofy was concelebrated by the Dean of the Kazatin District and the rector of the church, Archpriest Nikolai Volokhaty, Archpriest Anatoly Volokhaty, Archpriest Igor Tkachuk and clerics of the deanery.
During the liturgy, the rector of the church, Archpriest Nikolai Volokhaty, was awarded a miter for services to the UOC.
Metropolitan Varsonofy congratulated the rector and believers on an important and long-awaited day for the community. Metropolitan Varsonofy awarded the most active parishioners who helped in the construction of the church with orders and letters of merit.
Metropolitan Varsonofy also visited the construction site of the chapel on the territory of the village.
As the UOJ previously reported, in Kazatin, supporters of the OCU came to the temple of the UOC, shouting "Shame!".
