Orthodox Church sacristan brutally murdered in Russia

Roman Dzhangriyan, a sacristan at the Holy Trinity Church in Bataysk, was murdered on November 10, 2024, in Rostov, Russia, reports Don Day.
According to the publication, the tragedy occurred in the Rostov region, where a 50-year-old man fatally stabbed Roman Dzhangriyan.
At the time of the incident, Roman Dzhangriyan was helping a friend repair a broken car. An unknown individual, reportedly intoxicated, approached the men, began insulting them, and was confronted before leaving the scene. The perpetrator returned a short while later with a knife and inflicted fatal injuries on Dzhangriyan. The attacker was apprehended on the spot.
"Sacristan Roman Dzhangriyan was killed under tragic circumstances. We ask for your holy prayers for the repose of his soul," read a statement posted on the Holy Trinity Church’s social media pages.
Previously, there was reported an attack on a priest during a Mass in Singapore.
