On November 21, 2024, the European organization "Union of Orthodox Journalists" launched two new branches in Greece and Germany. On the same day, the branches' new websites went live – http://eeod.gr in Greek and https://orthodoxnews.de in German. These platforms focus on the life of Orthodox communities in these countries. Analytical materials, articles, and interviews will provide prompt and objective coverage of important events for the local Orthodox community.
The opening of these branches is part of our strategy to support canonical Orthodoxy on an international scale and unite Orthodox believers across different countries. The Union of Orthodox Journalists is a unique media project aimed at bringing Orthodox believers worldwide together and defending traditional Christian values.
The branches will operate within a unified editorial policy based on Christian values while taking into account the cultural and social characteristics of local Orthodox communities. We are confident that this milestone will serve as a catalyst for further consolidation of Orthodox efforts in Europe and beyond. Additional branches in other countries are already in the pipeline.
The UOJ continues to be the voice of those who remain faithful to the traditions and canons of the Orthodox Church.
As a reminder, the UOJ recently registered a new legal entity in Europe.
