Parish of vlg. Bokove confirms allegiance to Ukrainian Orthodox Church

On 11 December, the Intercession religious community of the Olexandria Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) in the village of Bokove, Kirovohrad region, held a parish meeting to discuss matters of confessional affiliation, reports the press service of the Olexandria Eparchy.
"In order to avoid various provocations and speculations, the decision was unanimously supported to remain part of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the omophorion of His Beatitude Onuphry, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine," the statement reads.
The meeting also included prayers for peace and for Ukraine's defenders, as well as discussions on ways to assist the military.
The meeting was led by the archpriest Viktor Misiaylo, the dean of the Dolynske district, and Archpriest Oleksandr Kalakay, the rector of the Intercession Orthodox community.
As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Boholep called for resilience following the events at the Cherkasy cathedral.
