Having lost two churches after the former rector fell into schism, the community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Stryzhavka village (formerly Kolo-Mikhaylivka) of the Vinnytsia region has built a new church, the Vinnytsia diocese reports on its Facebook page.
On October 28, 2021, a solemn consecration of the new church will take place, which will be performed by Metropolitan Varsonofy of Vinnytsia and Bar. Also, the first Divine Liturgy will be held in the newly built church, led by the ruling bishop.
Vladyka Varsonofy will be met at 7:45 am near the new church at 5 Dzerzhinskaya St. The community of the UOC in Stryzhavka invites believers to share with them the joyful celebration of the consecration of the church.
As the UOJ reported, domed crosses for the temple of the affected community were consecrated in Stryzhavka.
