On the Feast Day of Saint Nicholas, the Cherkasy Eparchy's press service shared a letter from a young parishioner of the Mandylion Cathedral in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi. In his letter, the boy asked Saint Nicholas to return their seized church.

"I want to go back to my church because I ring the bells there," the child wrote innocently, appealing to the saint on his feast day.

It is worth recalling that the cathedral in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi was raided and seized during the night of May 31, 2024. The rector of the seized Church of the Holy Mandylion (UOC) in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, Archpriest Ioann Nalapko, noted that the attackers kept breaking into the church until 5 a.m., using sledgehammers on the metal doors and tearing off the grates.

"It was impossible to see these horrors. People went beyond the bounds of human nature," added Archpriest Ioann.
