Pastor Mykola Omelchuk of the Evangelical Church of the Living God in Rivne released a video address in which he urged believers to pray for the dissolution of the Russian Federation. According to him, Russia, as a state, is not a divine entity, and its existence contradicts God’s will.
"The 'Russian World' is a specific religion with Christian attributes, its own rituals, and fetishes. They spread their adherents as missionaries, promoting their narratives," the pastor said.
In his address, Omelchuk described Russia’s historical policies as a process of land seizure, the destruction of indigenous peoples, their cultures, and languages: "It consumed everything, made it like itself, and moved further. The same is happening now in Ukraine."
The pastor emphasized his view that Russia lacks genuine values: "Their emperor is a fornicator, and their churches are filled with lies. Let us pray specifically: 'God, collapse Moscowia, and let the nations be freed.'"
As previously reported by the UOJ, Seventh-day Adventist chaplains from the U.S. discussed Ukraine's religious freedom with the State Service of Ukraine on Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience.
